Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick Saint Review

Skin Tone: Medium to Dusky

Hello lovely ladies,

Hope you all are doing great. Recently, I purchased two lippies from Lime crime; one from their ‘Velvetines’ range and the other from their newly launched ‘Plushies’ range. So today, I am going to talk about the Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick in the shade Saint. So, read on to find out more about this lipstick.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick Saint Review

Price: $20
Product Description:
The liquid matte that started it all. Conceptualized and developed by Lime Crime CEO Doe Deere, Velvetines draw inspiration from her favorite flower – a red, red rose. Doe used to cut out rose petals and paste them onto her lips as a child. Richly pigmented, French vanilla-infused formula glides on as a liquid and dries down to a luxurious, velvety matte finish that lasts for hours and hours. Touch-proof, kiss-proof and utterly addictive!

My Experience with Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick Saint:

Packaging:
The Lime Crime lipstick comes in a super cute red box with roses. The box also has a colour-coded strip with the shade name and the ingredient list. The liquid lipstick tube comes in a frosted tube with a stunning red cap with the rose pattern. The whole packaging revolves around roses since it is the owner’s favourite flower. The packaging is super sweet and adorable. The liquid lipstick comes with a typical doe-foot applicator, which is easy to use.

Shade:
Lime Crime offers a huge variety of shades, ranging from nudes and neutrals to colourful pinks and reds. Almost all the shades as been reviewed on IMBB. Lime Crime released some new shades recently and ‘Saint’ is one of them. It has been described as a “Cranberry red” but I will say it leans towards neutral brown with a hint of red. This is a beautiful neutral that will suit all complexions.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick Saint Ingredients

Formula:
The texture is quite watery rather than creamy – more like a lip tint. It works more like a tint and requires some 2 minutes to dry down completely to a powder matte finish. The lipstick is transfer-proof and doesn’t move or budge even after eating and drinking. It has good pigmentation and gives full coverage in one swipe. Exfoliation is a must with this lipstick else it may cling to dry patches and settle into the lines. The lips seem to feel a bit dry after some time, but nothing very uncomfortable.

Staying Power:
This lipstick is very long-lasting. It lasts more than seven hours. It is transfer-proof, however, it tends to break with oily food and starts to fade slowly. It has a bit of vanilla cupcake fragrance to it.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick Saint Close Up

As you all know, Lime Crime offers a minimal quantity of the product for the price they charge, which is a bit tacky. Overall, it is a true liquid matte lipstick, and if you are looking for a budge-proof lipstick, then this is for you.
