So apparently designer Tracy Feith has gone missing. Michelle Obama wore his threads, and Target carried his brand.Now this season, fashionista can’t seem to find the label. According to Lauren, the designer’s New York and Los Angeles boutiques have closed shop, his site is not functioning, and they can’t locate any shops carrying S/S10 pieces. Other than a big warehouse sale that took place in January, other than that, it's been a year since anyone has heard from him. Fashionista attempted to get a hold of his partner, Susan Winget, but the emails could never be delivered.
Over at 'Mrs-O.org', a blog that follows the style of Michelle Obama, tried the same attempt but with no luck as well.
While most would say that Feith’s label hasn’t disappeared altogether but the rumor is that he’s designing some threads for the 'Montauk Surf Lodge’s shop'. He had so much hype back in '09, so it’s peculiar that he's staying to below the radar. And we must not forget, not always is stellar press and marketing enough to keep the doors open for business.
