Well the Marni collection has been and gone!
The collection sold out by lunchtime yesterday and while shoppers seemed more dignified this time round - there were no fights or stampedes - there still are over 700 pieces already listed on ebay for sale.
Stores opened at 9am this morning and H&M have put a wristband system in place which allowed 20 shoppers ten minutes each to browse and buy the collection before staff had five minutes to replen before the next 20. So there was a lot less madness.
The earliest shopper arrived at 9pm the night before!
The ebay madness continues though with pieces going onsale for almost double the retail value. Seriously, this ebay business is annoying. It devalues the collection somewhat in my eyes. I hate the thought that some one might have bought a piece for profit and not because they genuinely loved the clothing. I don't really know what high street stores can do about it though. You can't stop people using the site and also, there are people who are genuinely trying to sell a piece that doesn't fit or they don't like.
Did any of you guys get some of the collection?
